Info/FAQ’s

How do I register my child for one of the choirs? Click the Registration tab. Please fill out a separate complete registration form for each child participating in your family. The registration/materials fee should be paid at the first rehearsal, along with the semester tuition.

What are some payment options? When you pay your tuition at the first class rehearsal (or before), you may use Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, cash, or personal check made to Glen Miller. If you use cash, please place it in an envelope with your family or child’s name on it. Payments may be paid in full, or in four monthly installments. To mail a check, send to: GTM, 2000 Stonegate Drive, Denton, Texas 76205. To use Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle, contact Mr. Miller to get account info. GlenTMiller@gmail.com or 936-558-3481

What does the registration/supply fee go toward? This fee is used for music, paper and printing costs, name tags, students’ rewards and any teaching aids the directors require.  This fee must be paid at the first rehearsal.

Is there any discount for referrals? For each referral that enrolls in one our choirs, your family will receive a $25 discount towards your child’s tuition. Be sure the referred family indicates your name on their registration form.

Is there a multiple-child discount? While there is not a multiple-child discount per se, your family will pay no more than $350 per semester once enrolled, for tuition-only.

What kind of songs will you be singing? The selection of choral literature aims to expose students to a wide variety of musical genres which will include traditional choral literature as well as contemporary music. We will sing both sacred and secular selections from a variety of sources.  We want to glorify God in all that we present to our students and audiences.

Is there an audition process to get into the choir? For prospective Showstoppers, middle school & high school students must send an audition recording via email of the student singing any song to Mr. Miller. Email address is: glentmiller@gmail.com. There is no audition for the Primary and Elementary choirs.

Can we bring food on to the church campus? No food and drinks are allowed in the rehearsal areas, ONLY water with a sealable lid. There is a designated area for snacks & drinks, away from the rehearsal space.  Please clean up any spills and dispose of trash properly. Help us be respectful of the church that is allowing us to use their facilities.

Will there be a dress code or uniform? For class rehearsals, comfortable but modest clothing should be worn. Shirts should not have any inappropriate words or pictures. Performance wear will be discussed during the Parent Zoom meeting in September & an email will be sent with this information.

What supplies are needed? Your child will need his/her music, a one inch black three-ring binder, and mechanical pencil. Showstoppers must bring a water bottle. A highlighter is also recommended.  These need to be brought every week to class. Younger choir members may also bring a water bottle if desired.

Can I drop my students off or do I need to stay on campus? We would prefer for you to stay on campus if your child is in the K - 2nd grade class. If you have  3rd - 12th graders, please use your discretion on whether they are responsible enough to be dropped off. Please pick up students promptly after class and do not leave students unattended when not in class. A parent must be with a student who is waiting for his/her class or waiting for a sibling's class to end. Students need to wait inside the building until a parent picks them up. Mr. Miller & the other directors will be teaching the next class, so they will not be able to watch students waiting to be picked up.

Are family members of Showstoppers allowed to join the Spring Trip to New York City? Yes, we encourage parents and families to join the New York City spring trip. Details of the trip will be given early in September.
